CLASP is the "intermediate" ecumenical body for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Its "intermediacy" includes being a channel between Churches Together in England and local Churches Together groupings.

It is hoped that this website will facilitate the sharing of information among the denominations at different levels, and alert church people (and others perhaps) to what's on and what's available to excite interest, strengthen faith, disturb complacency and deepen discipleship.
Until now, CLASP's publicity has been rather hit and miss, aggravated by local changes in personnel or new personal email addresses, and hit by higher postage costs.
And maybe your publicity can be extended by using this website: the opportunities for cross-fertilization are endless.
The County Ecumenical Officer reminisces: In one of the earliest Churches Together group meetings I attended I was asked in Tunstall to speak of what was happening in the south. I began to describe with some enthusiasm the activities of Churches Together in Lichfield. But this did not suit. "No! No! What's happening in Burslem?"
Henceforth, hopefully, they'll be able to discover.
